this document covers use of the discord bot named ego ("the bot"). it does not cover the wider ego project, the website, the token, or any other surface — see the site notice for project-wide disclosures. by inviting the bot to a discord server you accept these terms. if you don't, remove the bot.
01what the bot is
the bot is operated on instructions from the team behind the ego project ("we", "us", "the operators"). it posts announcements and operational updates inside discord servers it has been invited to. the bot is not a financial advisor, doesn't solicit investment, and is not a customer-support channel.
02acceptable use
- use the bot in line with discord's terms of service and community guidelines.
- don't try to extract bot tokens, credentials, or internal state.
- don't impersonate the bot, the project, or its operators on or off discord.
- don't use the bot in servers whose primary purpose is illegal, abusive, or designed to harm third parties.
03no warranties
the bot is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. we make no guarantees about uptime, message delivery, or the accuracy of automated content. operational lapses, downtime, scheduling errors, and bot bugs may happen. inside a memecoin project, that's the baseline expectation, not the exception.
04not financial advice
nothing the bot posts in any server is financial advice. memecoins are high-risk instruments and most go to zero. don't make investment decisions based on bot output, and don't treat any post as a recommendation, signal, or call to action of any kind.
05removal and revocation
- you may remove the bot from your server at any time via discord's standard server-management UI.
- we may remove the bot from any server at any time, with or without notice, particularly when use of the bot violates these terms or discord policy.
- we may rotate the bot's credentials, suspend the bot, or retire it entirely, at our sole discretion.
06changes
we may update these terms. material changes are reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of this page. continued use of the bot after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
07governing terms
these terms govern the bot independently of any other agreement, document, or relationship between users and the operators. they don't grant rights to the project's branding, website, token, or any non-bot asset.
